Vacation Rental/Room Attendant

                                                                                     Vacation Rental/Room Attendant

General Responsibilities

  • Perform quality cleaning to meet required standards within set time limits.
  • Consistently demonstrate S.E.E. (Smile, Eye Contact and Engage) and offers professional, friendly and excellent customer service.
  • Upon start of shift, reviews daily inventory of rooms, arrivals and departures.
  • Reviews daily inventory of supplies needed to complete the assignments for the day.
  • Cleaning of hotel rooms/vacation rentals including:  dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen area, and all other living areas.
  • Comply with all resort safety guidelines.
  • Pick up ground litter around hotel or wherever visible.
  • Maintain safety awareness throughout the entire property.
  • Report all potential safety hazards to a manager immediately.
  • Vacation Rental Attendant must drive to various properties on the resort.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • May perform similar duties as requested by supervisor

 

Job Qualifications

 

   Experience:

  • Valid driver's license to drive to vacation homes on property and insurability on the company insurance policy is required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Housekeeping and customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills preferred.
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Be able to push up to 70 lbs.
  • Great customer service skills.

 Discretion / Independent Judgment

This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances.  As a Vacation Rental/Room Attendant/Housekeeper you will be expected to work with associates and visitors to ensure satisfaction.  A Vacation Rental/Room Attendant/Housekeeper will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve a manager only when previous methods have been unsuccessful.

         Frequent sitting with some walking and standing at times

         Frequently lifts/carries up to 50 lbs

         Occasionally pushes up to 200 lbs

         Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills

         Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly

 Working Conditions

         May be indoor or outdoor setting

         Varied weather conditions are expected

         Will work near moving or mechanical parts

         Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
