Golf Sales Manager

Our breathtaking Arnold Palmer designed golf course, located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, is managed and lead by passionate team members that love what they do - putting smiles on guest's faces each and every day and of course maximizing every revenue opportunity. The Golf Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies targeting golf groups both day and overnight groups, and meeting or exceeding agreed quarterly objectives.

General Responsibilities

  •         Proactively collects, develops and analyzes industry, market and competitive resort intelligence.
  •         Develops innovative sales strategies, forecasts and budgets, annually and monthly.
  •      Proactively develops and works a multi-faceted plan (e.g. outside sales calls, trade shows, e-mailings, mailing, referrals,       social media) to network and develop relationships with target groups.
  •         Builds relationships with colleagues, professional organizations and vendors/suppliers to uncover opportunities, leads,           and ultimately sales.
  •         Develops revenue maximizing proposals, based on supply, demand and customer value, and negotiates and secure             win- win agreements.
  •         Works with the entire Resort staff to execute experiential site visits, flawless events, and appropriate up-selling.
  •         Manages and works with sales/catering teams to execute contractual obligations.
  •         Meets with guests and teams to debrief on each event, agree service/product improvements, and develop performance         standards.
  •         Maintains detailed and accurate records on all guests, prospect and active, and uses the same for proactive prospecting       and service enhancements, and refining sales strategies.
  •         Communicates results, challenges and opportunities regularly, accurately and professionally to the appropriate team             members, and effectively brainstorms with the same to minimize challenges and maximize opportunities.
  •         Nurtures relationships with prospective and existing customers and produces sales. 

Job Qualifications

Education:

  •          Bachelors degree in sales, marketing or hospitality management, desired. 

Experience:

  •          Minimum 3 years of golf sales experience.
  •          Proven track record delivering sales success and performing the general responsibilities above.
  •          Excellent communication, negotiation, computer and analytical skills required.

 Discretion / Independent Judgment

  • This position has the authority to formulate, affect, interpret or implement management policies or operating processes.  The position is responsible for managing sales initiatives and projects to ensure that Resort objectives are achieved and that revenue opportunities are maximized. The position will also be responsible for assisting operational leaders in the strategic planning of their operational units to tie with other units as well as the overall resort objectives.
  • This position is involved in both short and long term planning of business objectives.
  • This position works with the media and external agencies as a representative of the company and therefore represents the company when handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances.   This position will be expected to resolve any grievances that leaders may have with materials or products generated by the sales team and finding mutually agreeable solutions to the grievance.
  • This position has the authority to make independent choices, free from immediate direction or supervision and makes decisions or recommendations that may be occasionally be reviewed, revised or reversed.  This position requires creative design when generating sales materials and will be expected to understand and meet operational leader's expectations and deliver a product that this position believes is appropriate for the target market.
