Engineering Technician
General Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to manufacturers' specifications.
- Inspect and adjust all systems on a daily basis.
- Maintenance and repair of all property equipment including air condition, heater, ventilation, refrigeration and irrigation systems; related HVAC equipment; hot tub maintenance; plumbing, electrical, food/beverage and laundry equipment.
- Resolve all guestroom and public space maintenance issues.
- Communicate supply needs and job status to appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all work order policies and procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of excellence throughout the hotel.
- Ensure that all guests are greeted.
- Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Drive company vehicle in a safe manner.
- Maintain a good working relationship and provide excellent customer service to other departments, tenants, employees and guests.
- Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver license and clean driving record required.
- Two years of building maintenance experience preferred.
- Maintenance knowledge, including HVAC, basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and painting.
- Proper and safe use of chemicals.
- Strong preventative maintenance background preferred.
- Skilled in the use of related tools, including both hand and electric tools.
- Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
- Ability to:
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively and work well under pressure.
- Work cohesively as part of a team.
- Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
