Assistant Manager for Apartment Complex

Job Overview:

Responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of a 96 unit apartment complex.

Part-time 23-25 total hours a week.

General Responsibilities:

• Use property management software, Buildium, to track payments.
• Collect rent and other property fees from tenants.
• Investigate and resolve property complaints and rental violations.
• Issue late payment, non-compliance, and eviction notifications.
• Meet potential tenants, showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance with anti-discrimination laws and screening report.
• Handle all paperwork for move-ins and move-outs.
• Inspect units and enter work orders in software.
• Communicate regularly with Manager.
• Do light cleaning work for 3 hours a week, during non-office hours.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Conduct self in a calm and professional manner at all times, especially during confrontation.

• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the company's Employee Handbook.
• Perform all other duties as assigned but not listed here.

Qualifications:

• Property management experience is a plus but not necessary.

• Computer knowledge using Microsoft office.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to:

• Read, write, problem solve and communicate effectively with tenants.
• Multi-task and work well under pressure.
• Read and follow both verbal and written instructions.
