Assistant Manager for Apartment Complex

Job Overview:
Responsible for managing and ensuring efficient administration duties of Complex.
General Responsibilities:
•
Use property management software, Buildium to track payments
•
Collect rent and other property fees from tenants
•
Investigate and resolve property complaints and rental violations
•
Issue late payment, non-compliance, and eviction notifications
•
Meet potential tenants, showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance with anti-discrimination laws and screening report
•
Handle all paperwork for move-ins & move-outs
•
Inspect units and enter work orders in software
•
Communicate regularly with Manager
•
Do light cleaning work for 3 hours a week, not during office hours
•
Maintain a safe working environment
•
Maintain a good working relationship with all departments
•
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•
Property management experience a plus, but not necessary
•
Can handle confrontation in a calm professional manner
•
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
•
Competency in Microsoft Office and computer skills
•
Thorough knowledge of Excel and Word.
•
Ability to:
•
Deal effectively with employees, have a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy.
•
Work as part of a team.
•
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
•
Communicate effectively
•
Read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
